About
Since I was a kid, I have always had a passion for building and creating. I've used any material I could get my hands on: lego, cardboard, beer bottle tops, oragami, paper mâché and 3D Printing. Now, I design and build custom furniture from a variety of recycled and locally milled naturally fallen timbers.
- I have been working with timber since studying product design and technology at High School.
- I did Certificate II in Building and Construction (carpentry) pre-apprenticeship.
- I attended classes at Melbourne Guild of Fine Woodworking which specialise's in furniture making for 2 years.
- I now have several years of experience in building furniture for my own family and in designing and building pieces for use in sporting clubs.
More recently since moving to Fish Creek I have developed a strong interest in horticulture and nature photography. I am currently growing thousands of native plants to revegetate our Fish Creek property.
Timbers
I like to use recycled timber and Australian hardwoods.
To date I have worked with recycled oregon, blackbutt, spotted gum, Victorian Ash and for the bins which were exposed outside I used merbau.
Design
I use a CAD drawing program to create a 3D image of the project to ensure it is exactly what my customer is seeking.
From there we select timbers and finishes and then I get started.
